The 56mm f/1.2 is quite simply a magnificent lens however it's not necessarily a beginner lens as it can be a little tricky to use. Unless you plan to use it extensively at f/1.2, I'd suggest a Fuji's equally wonderful 50mm f/2 or the terrific 50-140 f/2.8.

The sensor size difference is negligible. The Fuji is on the same level, sharpness-wise. The CCD with APO lens gives more neutral colors, but those can be tweaked in post, as I shoot RAW only with any camera. This may offend some Leica users but I am far happier with the 56 1.2 than with the M9 and 90 f/2 APO. With the XT-1 and 56/1.2 I took several photos in bright sunshine of homes at the top of the bluff. So, I was pointing the camera upwards. At f/4, both lenses are very sharp. The 35mm f/1.4 is definitely a little sharper. Look at the grain in the wood in particular. The 35mm f/1.4 is crazy sharp. Saying “for a zoom” sounds a tad dismissive, but in the case of the 18-55, for a zoom it performs really well. At f/8, the FUJINON XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 closes the gap, but the 35 All photos edited with my preset pack: https://erenjam.com/shop/cinematicIn this video I share my thoughts on the original Fujifilm 56mm f1.2 lens.If you'd l Fujifilm X-E3 Fujifilm X-H2S Fujifilm X-T5 Fujifilm XF 27mm F2.8 Fujifilm XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS +9 more Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN | C Reply to thread Reply with quote Complain
